Théâtre
de Liège

Liège, Belgium

The Théâtre de Liège is one of the four Centres for Drama in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. It is recognized as ‘European Centre for Theatre and Choreography’ thanks to its role in the production and diffusion of theatrical and contemporary dance plays among local, regional, and international audiences. The rich and varied program of the Théâtre de Liège brings to the stage productions of important theatre directors, Belgian and foreign choreographers, actors of international renown, such as Isabelle Huppert, Mélanie Laurent, Emmanuelle Béart, Toni Servillo, and Denis Podalydès, as well as emerging artists.

Alongside the seasonal program, the city of Liège moves to the beat of the Émulation Festival for young francophone Belgian companies. The Théâtre de Liège is also actively involved in a wide range of European projects, from the collaboration with prestigious international institutions such as Festival d’Avignon and Chaillot in Paris, to the co-production of the work of international artists.
